She´s been kept under cover every winter for at least the last 20+ years so while 42 years old her exterior teak and non-skid are in excellent condition. The 31.1 was from the second generation of Bristol Yachts when the company upgraded construction quality in order to compete with other luxury yards like Hinkley. Her extra tall teak toe-rail is both a beautiful aesthetic feature as well as great footing for moving around on a heeled boat. Designed by Ted Hood and Dieter Empacher the 31.1 is a comfortable and easy to sail performance cruiser that is tough enough to handle serious conditions. Bristol 31.1´s have crossed the Atlantic via the Bermuda Azores route so these boats can take you as far as you´re prepared to take them. Saquish has already received a range of critical repairs and updates which will leave the next owners with a boat in excellent condition and unlikely to present any major problems for years or decades to come.
